Lé Chat Room

When I designed the STUDIO, the space under the eaves became a wonderful bright room later to be named the Lé Chat room.  Old Spring Farm has been raising Manx cats since 1965 and more recently “Banx”, the result of crossing a Bengal male on a Manx female.  “Lé Chat”, French for the cat, seemed a logical theme for the newly created upper room of the studio.

THE Lé CHAT ROOM is sophisticated enough to appeal to non-cat lovers as well with its traditional Provencal color scheme of burgundy, gold and teal inspired by a French poster hung near the cast iron enameled gas-log stove.  The patterned duvet and shams match the area rugs on the tiled floors.  A bay-windowed nook surrounds a pillowed daybed perfect for curling up on with a book or for the comfort of a third person for an additional fee.

A private balcony, with deck expansion planned, provides bonus space overlooking a pasture which is home to one of the farm’s Appaloosa horses.  Over 60 varieties of songbirds have been observed on the farm along with deer and wild turkey which are attracted to the grain left by the horses.

With the amenities listed, the Lé Chat Room is an excellent choice for an extended stay.

     farmhouse for you to choose from or plan to bring your favorites.
